Not only is she a sure bet as the object of male audience members' (no pun intended) affection, but she has enough talent to make you bust out of your pants.
Kate went from the indie scene to the multiplexes in about three years, and if she keeps up this pace, L.A.'s legendary "Hollywood" sign is bound to be replaced by a gigantic BECKINSALE by 2007.
Kate went to Oxford and majored in French and Russian literature, which means she's smarter than us. She also performed in the British theater productions of A View from the Bridge and The Seagull, which proves she is a great actress -- although her sexy accent can persuade us to do anything.
Kate hasn't taken home any Oscars just yet, but she has been nominated for several awards, and won a London Critics Circle Film Award (ALFS) as British Supporting Actress of the Year, for her role in 1998's The Last Days of Disco (it was a tie with Minnie Driver).
We never thought "sexy" was an appropriate word for Kate Beckinsale; maybe it's because her earlier roles made her look more graceful than ravishing. But ever since we laid eyes on her in 2003's Underworld, we couldn't get over the sight of Kate in black latex.
It was all uphill since then: she looked delicious in 2004's Van Helsing and successfully channeled sexpot Ava Gardner in 2004's The Aviator.
